Alaska Boat Registration Search
BoatWiki - Databases
Introduction
The State of Alaska offers an online renewal service that can be utilized to determine whether a registration is current. It will also provide a duplicate registration printout if so requested by the owner.
Access
Access to the search webpage can be found in the WikiLinks. To determine if a registration is current scroll down to the Property Only Access option and insert the registration number (without the AK prefix) along with the last two characters of the hull number. This will bring up a screen with the expiration date and some basic information about the boat. An owner can then proceed to a payment screen for requesting a duplicate registration printout.
Data Provided
As a quick lookup, the information is quite minimal. However a duplicate registration printout will offer full details about the boat, owner, liens, and registration status.
Conclusion
For non-owners, this resource will not provide much information. But it is a tool that may help in gathering some preliminary data.
