Definition

Jul 24, 2023 - A state boat registration code can be defined as the first two letters of any state boat registration number. These are intended to identy the state in which registered.

Context

All non-documented boats that are state registered must display the assigned state registration numbers on each side of the bow. The first two letters will identify the state of registration. Although not always the same, these can be likened to postal abbreviations.

Conclusion

Although similar in purpose, the state boat registration codes should not be confused with postal codes. Visit the WikiTags for more information about state boat numering.
