Access to such data is available for owners and the general public. The following guidelines will provide some insights on how to lookup boat registration, title information snf obtain current and historical records in the State of Wisconsin.

Online Access

Online access to Wisconsin boat registration and title records is only available to owners. This will require the establishment of a login account (WikiLinks). Owners may register a boat, lookup their information or renew a registration through the portal.

Telephone Access

The Wisconsin DNR will provide boat registration details along with ownership and lien information over the telephone. This service is available to owners and the general public. However, such inquiry must be presented as an "open records request".  DNR contact information is available in WikiLinks.

Boat Record Request

Wisconsin boat registration records in bulk may be available to certain commercial enterprises. Contact the Department of Natural Resources (WikiTags) for more information in this regard.

Anyone concerned about a boat that may have been stolen, abandoned, involved in an incident or is being utilized for illicit activities in state jurisdictional areas should contact a local enforcement agency or boat registration office.
