BoatWiki - Databases

The USCG incident investigations online database provides information about closed investigations of marine casualties from 2002 to present. This service is available online from the USCG Maritime Information Exchange website and is free of charge.

The database can be searched by a vessel's name and the names of any involved organizations or facilities. It also allows for a range of investigation closure dates. The use of a % wild card character can be utilized before, within and after the search  terms. Links for the search screen and additional information can be found in the WikiTags.

Data Provided

The results will provide information about the case, the incident itself, parties involved, and vessel details.

Although somewhat limited by available search criteria, this is yet another resource that may be helpful in locating vessel data and historical information.
