These are integrated into the same system utilized for vehicles. Boat registration search lookups and record copies in are made available to owners and certain qualified parties. The following information will provide some insights on how to go about obtaining boat registration data in the State of Connecticut.

Online Access

Connecticut offers online services such as boat registration copies, renewals, and information for secured lienholders (WikiLinks). Online access  is not, however, available to the general public.

Telephone Access

The Connecticut DMV may confirm the presence of a boat hull identification number in their system or verify a registration certificate in hand by telephone. Although, it may not provide detailed information by phone. DMV contact information is available in WikiLinks.

Boat Record Request Form

As an alternative to online and telephone access, an owner or qualified requester may use the Boat Record Request Form (WikiLinks). A list of requester qualifications is included with the form. Results may include historical data, all boats owned by a particular owner, registration details, title data, lien information and copies of ancillary documents. The request can be submitted by regular mail to the address shown on the form

Historical Records

Historical and archived boat registration records are available from the Connecticut DMV in conjunction with the records access information provided in this page. Boat records are not maintained indefinitely in the database system, therefore, you will need to contact the DMV in order to determine such limitations.

Bulk Records

Boat title and registration records in Connecticut may be available as bulk downloads to certain qualified entities. Contact the DMV (WikiTags) for more information.

Nationwide System
